Pastor Matthew Jolley was born in Wigan in the northern area of England and is a graduate from Queen Mary College, University of London, earning a Bachelors of Science with a major in Pure Mathematics. Matt became a Christian when he was 14 and has used his talents in service to God's people ever since. He was recognized as a preacher at the age of 15 and studied as a local preacher in the Methodist Church in England. He has traveled around the world, taking part in missions in Africa, Russia and Europe. He is currently working through the lengthy process of seeking ordination within the United Methodist Church. 

Matt came to America in 2002 to work as a Youth Minister for Unity Chapel UMC and in 2004 began ministry work as the contemporary worship leader / youth minister at Trinity UMC in New Albany. Matt and his wife Kristen were married in June 2006 and enjoy ministry together as a team here at Old Bethel.
