Liturgical Arts
Old Bethel offers a variety of ministries that allow different aspects of the arts to take part in planning and partaking in worship on Sunday mornings.  Whether you are a people-person or a behind the scenes kinda guy, there are many ways you could make an impact on the worship experience at Old Bethel.  And we always need people involved in these ministries!  Scroll below and look through the different opportunities available to be a part of Old Bethel's Liturgical Arts!
Opportunities to Serve

Acolytes:
Open to children and youth, Old Bethel's Acolytes participate in traditional worship by bringing the Light of God into the service, and then taking it out at the end.  This is a highly respected part of the service, and a great way for our youth to become involved in traditional worship.  If you or your child is interested in becoming an acolyte, please do not hesitate to contact the Worship Chair for more information!

Communion Stewards:
Once a month, Old Bethel celebrates Holy Communion in the worship services.  During Traditional Worship, the bread and juice are passed throughout the congregation and Communion is partaken in at the same time.  Contact the Worship Chair if you are interested in helping the passing of the elements during Communion!

Drama:

Dramas at Old Bethel allow the Word of God to be presented in a powerful, real-life way, touching the hearts of those who experience them.  We are currently rebuilding this ministry, and need your involvement!  Contact the Worship Chair should you wish to be a part of this great ministry!

Greeters and Ushers:
Enjoy meeting new people?  Enjoy showing visitors what Old Bethel has to offer?  If you're an upbeat, friendly person that likes to smile and shake hands, this ministry is for you!  Greeters meet people as they walk in the building, and ushers help congregants find their seats during worship.  We are constantly looking for new faces to greet our members, and would love it if you would be a part of this incredible ministry!  Contact the Worship Chair for more information!

Liturgical Arts:
This behind the scenes ministry is hardly behind the scenes at all.  They actively participate in worship by creating the Altar Arrangements, coordinating the Floral Arrangements that display the Lectern and Pulpit, and keeping the overall appearance of the Sanctuary in tip-top shape!  Contact the Worship Chair should your talents lead you to be a part of this ministry!

Soldiers of Light:
This adult/youth ministry combines the arts of drama, dance, and sticks.  That's right, sticks.  Using plain white sticks as their only props, they present powerful messages by creating basic images and allowing the imagination to fill in the rest.  Contact Matt Jolley, Pastor of Student Ministries, if you and your child are interested in participating in this ministry!
