Rev. Jerry Rairdon

Rev. Jerry Rairdon has served as pastor of Silver Street United Methodist Church since 1993.  Before his appointment to Silver Street, he served as pastor of Aldersgate UMC in Indianapolis from 1987 to 1993.  His first full time appointment was a two-point charge near Crawfordsville, Indiana to the small communities of Mace and New Ross.   Jerry is a graduate of Plainfield High School just west of Indianapolis and attended Indiana University before completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Indianapolis.   He received his Master's of Divinity Degree from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio.

Pastor Jerry is married to Nancy Matlock-Rairdon and is the father of four children, Devin, Kelsey, Saisha and Janae.  He also is a proud step-father to Nancy's four children Cory, Ty, Nathan and Arisa.  Jerry's enjoys playing basketball, taking walks with his wife, and watching way too much college basketball.

Rev. Rairdon is excited about his start at Old Bethel.  He will take over as Senior Pastor on July 1, 2009, with his first Sunday in the pulpit being July 5.  When asked why he made himself available to a move after over 16 years at Silver Street UMC, he replied with, "I felt like I had one more good 16 year run left in me."
