Our Beliefs
When John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, was asked, "What is a Methodist?" he replied, using the words of our Father, "A Methodist is one who loves the Lord, our God with all his heart, with all his soul, with all his mind, and with all his strength."  We, at Old Bethel, strongly uphold our Methodist values, and invite you to learn more about them by reading below.  Please feel free to contact one of the pastors if you have any questions about our beliefs!

Our Faith:

We believe in Jesus Christ and that He died that we might have eternal life.  In everything we do, we attempt to glorify God in Jesus Christ.

Our Mission:
We strive to give a hand to the needy residents of eastside Marion County.  Old Bethel Church helps many residents with food, financial aid, clothing, and special gifts at Christmas.

Our Values:
The Bible is our text, and we strive to stay fundamental in our teachings from the Word of God.

Our Doctrine:

At Old Bethel, we adhere to the doctrine set forth by the United Methodist Church.   Click here to view the website for the United Methodist Church.

Our Vision:
To truly witness and nurture our members and our community, we must meet people where they are and provide for their needs.

Our Purpose:

Our Purpose at Old Bethel, empowered by the Holy Spirit, is to glorify God and lead people to Christ through witness and nurture.
