The United Methodist Women are a part of the global ministries of our great church. In our district, we at Old Bethel are one great unit of women who work and care for the poor of the world, including the displaced and disenchanted residents of our own city. Look below to learn more about the different monthly Circle Meetings offered with your friends and sisters in Christ! Last year, there were 144 Sisters in Christ that participated in 11 smaller groups called circles. These groups are diverse and they decide their own goals and programs for the year. All share in friendship and fellowship, and support each other in their walk with Christ. Business is conducted by a large Executive Board, subject to the approval of the group as a whole. Below are a list of Old Bethel's United Methodist Women's Circle Meetings. Each occurs monthly, and would love to have you join them. Contact Milli Hill @ 897-1194 if you have any questions about UMW! Community Doers Join the UMW sisters to assist with volunteer work at Community Hospital East. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00am. Fellowship and Fitness Group Come involve yourself in prayer, exercise, and line dancing in Wesley Hall at Old Bethel every Tuesday morning at 9:00am. Love and Sharing Circle This group of UMW sisters meet for volunteer work in the Auxiliary Room of Community Hospital East every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00am. Mary's Joy Circle This circle is designed for mothers of young children, and meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:00am in Fellowship Hall - A. Babysitting is provided. Quilters These sisters meet the 4th Tuesday of the month in Fellowship Hall - D to fellowship and quilt. They meet at 10:00am and usually enjoy lunch together before leaving. Tabitha Circle This multi-age circle meets the 4th Monday of the month in Fellowship Hall - D at 10:00am to enjoy devotions, fellowship, and study. They also enjoy quilting and needlework, so don't be surprised if you see some of that happening too! In-Home Circles The United Methodist Women offer a variety of in-home circles for you to be a part of. They meet for devotionals, Bible study, and of course, fellowship. Contact the church office for a current list of meeting homes for each of the circles! Martha's Circle Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00pm. Rachel Circle Meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00pm. Rebekah Circle Meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:00pm. Ruth Circle Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.
The UMW Executive Board meets monthly to conduct the general business of the United Methodist Women at Old Bethel United Methodist Church.
